+Watches and Hip Hop+

The watches is became part of the music culture, as it was highly used on rapper’s lyric. Although Rolex is not part of the trinity, but they really a symbol of success, its really a truly iconic watch, and its just truly an amazing watch. When I was young I remember when my parents took me to the shop when they were about to purchase the watches. I’m truly blessed because I started my collection was from my parents’ gift. My very first watch is actually Hermès Hermes H, I got it from my from when I was 19 years old, and I got my very first proper automatic watch was early this year, I got Yacht Master by Rolex, it was brought by a lady back in 2007 in Paris. To me I really appreciate the work of the watch although I actually really in love with the Holy Trinity of watches AKA ; Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and Vacheron Constantin. IMG_8498

In terms of social status at some point watches is really showing your character as well, on showing the rate of success you’re. People like Jay Z known to be as one of the collectors as well. With the help of the blog like genius.com I got the lyrics mentioning those watches. One of my favourite line is “Rollies don’t tic toc”, and actually that’s one of the way of recognising the characteristic of the real Rolex. But I personally interested with such a unique watch, that produced by the company like Bamford Watch Department, because you can put a lot of characters to your own watch. What I don’t realy like is when someone really buy them out, without realising the beauty of the watch. I do understand that they’re a tool to show case your success rate and your social status. But to be honest a lot of those people who build the watch is really taking time to build the mechanical parts. I’m also learning for the depths of those watches because I’m not an expert, but if you love to read a lot of articles, you can check HODINKEE. That blog is my favourite watch blog.

Ball so hard, got a broke clock, Rollies that don’t tick tock
Audemars that’s losing time, hidden behind all these big rocks

Cartier glasses, Cartier belt
Cartier watch, tell me time somewhere else
Like Germany Sweden and Serbia
Nigga, one, two birds and I’m servin? ya

That’s why you always see me with at least one of my watches
Rollies and Pasha’s done drove me crazy

Legend has it, the wrist is magic
The left is Patek, Philippe’s replaced by Matsuhisa
